Interesante nueva banda : Voodoo Six

Voodoo Six - First Hit For Free (2008)



Agradable sorpresa estos Voodoo Six,yo por lomenos no había oido hablar nunca de ellos y me han gustado bastante tras una primera escucha, no es que sean la bomba pero molan y rockean bastante , así que si a alguien después de echar un ojo al youtbe le apetece saber mas de la banda que se pare por la papelera.

Pese a lo que diga la wikipedia el referente mas cercano que se me ocurre escuchando el disco sería algo como The Quill ( con todo el parecido a quíen ya sabemos que conlleva ) pero con mas lucimiento guitarrero y un toque mas hard rock.

Voodoo Six are a London based five piece English rock band formed by bassist Tony Newton and ex-guitarist Richie Faulkner in the summer of 2003. Tony, Richie & drummer Grav had worked together previously in a band called Deeds which supported rock giants Iron Maiden, UFO and Dio to name a few. After searching relentlessly for the final touches to the band, guitarist Matt Pearce and vocalist Henry Rundell joined in 2005 and Voodoo Six was born.

Voodoo Six had their first major gig supporting Iron Maiden at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2005. They released their debut album on 21 August 2006, which Steve Harris described as "the best debut album I've heard in years."[citation needed]. On the Feed My Soul tour, Voodoo Six played a series of European festivals including Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park & Download in Dublin where they played alongside Guns n Roses & Metallica.

Voodoo Six first played at the Download Festival in Donington in 2006 and after their First Hit For Free tour supporting Tygers of Pan Tang and Blaze Bayley across the UK, they returned to Download in 2008.

No estan del todo mal. Su disco no mata, pero tiene buenos momentos. Buena voz y buenas guitarras.

Cierot tienen un aire a Tue Quill,este tipo de grupos no es que aporten anda nuevo,pero a mi me gustan.

The quill menos por el ramalazo heavytronic que tenían o tienen me gustaban bastante... estos por lo q estoy escuchando suenan un pelín más angelinos.

Fueron los teloneros de Extreme. Como siempre, nada innovador pero muy buenos. Agradable sorpresa que me he encontrado esta mañana
