JEFF MANGUM (NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL) curates ATP UK (9-11 Marzo 2012)
All Tomorrow's Parties curated by Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel)
2nd-4th December 2011 at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead
On Sale Friday 18th February from www.seetickets.com
ATP Concerts are very excited to present the return of Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum to headline and curate one of two festival weekends planned for December 2011 at Butlins, Minehead. After releasing what is now one of the most loved and critically acclaimed albums of the 1990s (In The Aeroplane Over The Sea), Neutral Milk Hotel disbanded before many of those who now love their albums had a chance to see the songs performed live, so Jeff's much anticipated return to the live stage this year will no doubt be a very special occasion for fans throughout the UK and worldwide.
As well as headlining, Mangum will choose around 40 acts to play across the weekend on three indoor stages with a total festival capacity of around 5500 people. Mangum will perform more than once in the more intimate Centre Stage venue, although entry to only one show is guaranteed - he will be performing a solo acoustic set.
Here's a first look at the line-up as chosen by Jeff Mangum which already features a number of much loved performers/groups:
JEFF MANGUM (from Neutral Milk Hotel)
SUPERCHUNK
THE OLIVIA TREMOR CONTROL
YOUNG MARBLE GIANTS
THE MAGIC BAND
THE RAINCOATS performing The Raincoats (debut LP)
A HAWK AND A HACKSAW
TINARIWEN
THE APPLES IN STEREO
...with much much more to be announced! All tickets include accommodation in private apartments for you and your friends, see 'About The Venue' below for more details.
Tickets for ATP Curated by Jeff Mangum are priced at £170.00pp for room only and £180.00pp for self catering and go on sale this Friday 18th February at 9am from THIS LINK
As mentioned, a second ATP Festival weekend with different curator(s) in December 2011 is being planned and will go on sale in two weeks, please bear this in mind when booking.
ATP's next UK events are ATP curated by Animal Collective in May in Minehead and I'll Be Your Mirror curated by Portishead in London in July. Tickets on-sale now.

Music and performance are intertwined and for the boredoms it is a living and breathing whole. A being, greater than the some of it's parts, and ever evolving. Join the experience and be part of the evolution. It will change how you listen to and how you see music and musical performance.

The Fall, Raincoats, Aplle in the Stereo

joder, qué raro, no?

The Magnetic Fields, Versus and more newly confirmed for
ATP Curated by Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel), March 9-11 2012
at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK
On sale now from This Link
In March 2012 the world famous All Tomorrow's Parties will present the ATP curated by Jeff Mangum festival at Butlin's Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK. The weekend was originally set to run this December, but has been rescheduled to take place on the 9th-11th March. Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum will headline and curate. After releasing one of the most loved & critically acclaimed albums of the 1990s (In The Aeroplane Over The Sea), Neutral Milk Hotel disbanded before many of those who now love their albums had a chance to see the songs performed live, so Jeff's much anticipated return will be a very special occasion for fans.
Due to receiving many enquiries in the last few years regarding families attending, for this event and moving forward we have decided to launch new Family Tickets. For full info on how to book (childrens tickets for ages 5-12 are available for £50 per child) see this page. It also has info on tickets for under 18s aged above 12.
People who would like to pay a deposit of £70/£80 per ticket for a 4 person apartment now, with the rest payable at the end of February can do so via the Deposit/Installment Ticket Scheme.
We'd like to once again offer an apology to everyone that was inconvenienced by the rescheduling, to thank them for their understanding, and we hope people will be able to make the new event and enjoy the line-up! The artists from the original line-up who will appear in March are:
Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel)
Joanna Newsom
Boredoms
Sebadoh
Low
Scratch Acid
Thurston Moore
Yann Tiersen
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
The Fall
Young Marble Giants
Robyn Hitchcock performing I Often Dream Of Trains
The Raincoats performing The Raincoats (debut album)
The Magic Band
The Olivia Tremor Control
The Apples in stereo
Tall Firs (newly signed to ATP Recordings - info coming soon to atprecordings.com)
Half Japanese
A Hawk And A Hacksaw performing a new and original soundtrack to Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors
Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise
Lost In The Trees
Sadly Panda Bear, Tinariwen, Superchunk, Group Inerane, The Mountain Goats & Colin Stetson will not be able to make the new dates.
We are speaking to Fleet Foxes, Sun Ra Arkestra and Micachu And The Shapes and hope to confirm them soon.
New Additions:
We are very excited to add some new artists to the line-up. Joining our headliners we're proud to confirm indie rock legends The Magnetic Fields who will make a very rare festival appearance (their ATP debut) at the event. We can also confirm cult indie rock group Versus who play an extremely rare UK show at the festival. Another Jeff Mangum/Elephant 6-affiliated group joins us in the shape of The Music Tapes, as well as Group Doueh from the Western Sahara, and finally we can confirm that, after they sadly had to pull out of the December line-up, we can re-confirm Mike Watt & George Hurley perform the songs of the Minutemen for March.
Every ticket includes private accommodation in a heated apartment with TVs, beds, bathroom facilities and kitchens (in Self Catered apartments) - and all performances take place indoors so no need to worry about mud or weather! The event also includes DJs, Cinema and much more. With many more artists are to be added to the line-up in the coming weeks, here's how it currently looks:
Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel) / The Magnetic Fields / Joanna Newsom / Boredoms / Sebadoh / Low / Versus / Scratch Acid / Yann Tiersen / The Fall / Thurston Moore / Mike Watt & George Hurley perform the songs of the Minutemen / Young Marble Giants / Robyn Hitchcock performing I Often Dream Of Trains / The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion / The Magic Band / The Raincoats performing The Raincoats / The Olivia Tremor Control / The Apples In Stereo / Half Japanese / Tall Firs / The Music Tapes / Group Doueh / A Hawk And A Hacksaw / Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise / Lost In The Trees
