Yo me decanto por Gil Scott-Heron, aunque el "What Color is Love" de Terry Callier está ahí arriba con "Pieces of a Man" o "Winter in America"...

El 'I'm New Here' de Scott-Heron es una puta burrada, además de todo lo que habéis puesto. Voy a ver que tal Terry Callier

Imposible decidirme. Los dos son fantásticos y parecidos. Prefiero el timbre de voz de Heron, aunque Collier creo que es más versátil. Ambos tienen temazos imprescindibles.

Lo de que la cosa sigue igual está clarísimo. No hay más que echarle un ojo a 'Las Uvas de la Ira' para darse cuenta de que estamos exactamente igual que hace un siglo. El otro día, a raíz de esa lectura, hice la cuenta de a cuánto le salía la hora a un colega que estaba trabajando en un proyecto de arquitectura en función de las condiciones que había aceptado y te prometo que era menos de lo que sacaban los jornaleros en California en 1930.

Yo pondría a Terry Callier bastante por encima de Gil Scott-Heron, no solo en cuanto a composiciones, su voz me parece también más cálida.

Esta fue una de las primeras que me cautivó: "Pieces of a Man".



Además, otra vez de la más RABIOSA actualidad: el narrador es un niño que ve cómo su padre se derrumba tras recibir la carta que le anuncia que ha perdido su puesto de trabajo --- Esos "I saw him go to pieces..." finales me ponen los pelos como escarpias.

Menudas letras hacía este figura...
