HEAT (SAMSARA BLUES EXPERIMENT, GRANDLOOM) GIRA EN SEPTIEMBRE

El quinteto alemán HEAT formado por Richard Behrens (ex Samsara Blues Experiment), Patrick Fülling, Matthias Schult, Marco Rischer y Marcus Töpfer, nos visita en septiembre por primera vez con su potente proto heavy psych.
Su primer lp "Old Sparky" fue editado por el sello que nos descubrió a Kadavar (This Charming Man Records), en el que apostaban por un heavy blues de marcado carácter 70's. El 29 de agosto editan su segundo álbum "Labyrinth" (cd, lp y formato digital). Un gran paso adelante para la banda. Su sonido ha evolucionado y ahora también se intuyen influencias del heavy metal clásico. Según ellos mismos su música combina lo mejor de los 70's con un leve toque de NWOBHM, unas gotas de early hard rock y prog rock alemán y el imprescindible rock de colosos como Steppenwolf o Wishbone Ash.

Los mismos, Old Sparky es un disco muy recomendable para los amantes de los sonidos 70's...

Primera crítica del nuevo lp

"Heat wastes no time in bringing the heat on their sophomore album and follow up to their successful debut Old Sparky back in 2012. Pardon me but I just can't help myself when it comes to dorky puns, especially when it comes to describing awesome music.

Puns aside, right out of the gate the 70's laced rock and roll rumbles wickedly within the first minute introduction to Labyrinth. And then the vocals kick in like a slap in the face during sexual foreplay. Ripped and toned muscular chops slay away to the fast paced girthy riffs. The entire album is packed full of energy maintaining a psychedelic backbone with plenty of rock star attitude, and bluesy perception. Comparisons range amongst Witchcraft, Graveyard, Horisont and Sideburn with its retro sensibility including proficient use of the organ and superb execution of ripping guitar SOLOS.

The vocals provide a nice pairing with the rhythm and bouncy bass line. The twin-guitar slaymanship harkens forth a sense of classic metal shreddage and the solos keep the pace from completely melting itself to the floorboards. The German accent is evident as these dudes reside in Berlin. The accent of course is familiar as some of the best retro hard rockers in the biz are from somewhere over in Europe. Sweden, Germany and Denmark seem to have a monopoly on the style. However, Heat has upped the ANTE with the release of Labyrinth. For my money we have the whole package here. Strong vocals, infectious hooks, diverse song approach, and precision instrumentals which mend a deafening to delicate approach seamlessly and effortlessly. Pre-order the album now over at bandcamp, and stream the opening scorcher “Siamese Smile” for a taste of what’s to come upon its release on August 29th, 2014. Be sure to listen up because the only way you are going to get burned by Heat is by sleeping on them"

Primera escucha, muy buena pinta
