The Black Crowes se SEPARAN OFICIALMENTE

y parece q con mal rollo. Temas economicos d por medio. Parece q Chris quiere q otros miembros d la banda renuncien a una parte de sus ganancias. Rich no parece estar muy de acuerdo

Rich in his statement: "It is with great disappointment and regret that after having the privilege of writing and performing the music of THE BLACK CROWES over the last 24 years, I find myself in the position of saying that the band has broken up."

He continued: "I hold my time with THE BLACK CROWES with the utmost respect and sincerest appreciation. It is a huge swath of my life's body of work. I couldn't be more proud of what we accomplished and deeply moved by the relationships people created and maintained with my music. That alone is the greatest honor of being a musician.

"I love my brother and respect his talent, but his present demand that I must give up my equal share of the band, and that our drummer for 28 years and original partner, Steve Gorman, relinquish 100% of his share, reducing him to a salaried employee, is not something I could agree to."

Robinson concluded: "There are so many people who have helped and supported us along the way.

"I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of our fans, our friends behind the scenes, and to everyone who was a part of THE BLACK CROWES."

Otra enésima separación... en cualquier caso, triste noticia. Con lo cual me mojo y añado que, desde hace un tiempo hacia atrás y considerando a los Black Crowes una de las bandas claves de los últimos 24 años que para mi parieron el mejor doble álbum de los últimos diez (el magnífico Before the Frost...), hace un tiempo para atrás que opino que pese a la seriedad o huraño que puede parecer a muchos Rich Robinson es una parte muy significativa del alma Crow. Sigo a Chris con sus CRB y discos en solitario pero me sorprende esa metedura de pata por algo tan simple como la pasta. Y si me dices que el bataca es un primerizo pero coño, estamos hablando del puto Steve Gorman, un batería excelente que está al pie del cañon desde el primer disco dándolo todo y aguantando a los hermanos Robinson. En cualquier caso, los trabajos en solitario de los hermanos me siguen interesándome y ahí estaré cuando hagan las paces y vuelvan... porqué volverán. Up the Crowes!
PD Muy bueno un comentario en el Huftington Post Americano donde un fan compara a Chris Robinson con Axl Rose. In it for the  money!
