Pues parece ser q habrá disco postumo de Scott Weiland y detrás del proyecto está Doug Grean, el que fuera guitarrista de la banda en solitario del propio Weiland y el propio Grean dijo q son basicamente canciones q no habian salido en otros discos. El propio hijo de Weiland colabora en una canción.




Former Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts guitarist Doug Grean has announced on Facebook that a new Scott Weiland record will be released in September. It will be Weiland’s first posthumous record, and his first album since 2015, when he released Blaster and Art of Anarchy’s self-titled album before his December 2015 death.

Tyrant wrote on BelowEmpty.com, “Quick details given by Doug in the comments: – No record company involved, they are going to sell the record through NFT, but everyone will still be able to listen. – A newly mixed version of “I Know It’s Too Late” is included – Doug describing the record: “left overs basically. But great songs. And one new one I finished with his son.”

Lazy Divey said, “Full Blown John is the earliest track on the record and it’s not the version that we have already heard.”

Five Star Edge asked, “Is a tentative track listing out there? Doug mentioned having a cell phone demo of Circles, not sure if that version is making the album (prob not). Any details on when the other FBJ was recorded? Looking forward to this release, really have no idea much unreleased solo material exists beyond a few leftovers from Happy.”

Lazy Divey added, “From what I understand there is a Wondergirls version (the one we’ve heard) and a Scott and Doug version which will be on this record.”

Tyrant added, “There are currently two versions of “Full-Blown John” floating around. I got both from Frank Reina, who play drums on the recordings. Doesn’t have anything to do with The Wondergirls.

There’s also a clip of the song from Scott’s old website. I think it is also different from the two versions we currently have.”

¿Qué habrá pasado para que se demore tanto su publicación?

No sé quién interpretará a Scott Weiland en su biopic, pero en mi opinión el actor adecuado sería Dean Winters.

Desconozco la razón, pero no me extrañaría que fuese que quisiesen hacer que la publicación coincidiese con el estreno del biopic o algo por el estilo.

Biopic???

Desconocía que en 1995 habia salido un disco tributo a John Lennon en el que participaban grandes bandas de los 90 como Mad Season (el proyecto paralelo de Layne Staley, Mike McReady y compañía), Collective Soul, RHCP, Candlebox, Screaming Trees, Blues Traveler, The Magnificent Bastards (la banda que formó Scott Weiland en 1995 y con los que grabó algún tema. Algunas de esas canciones acabaron en su primer disco en solitario 12 Bar Blues) Cheap Trick, Sponge...... Algunas versiones son buenisimas.

Tiempos mejores.
