ROSKILDE 2010

Pues nada, que será el 40 aniversario, las fechas el primer fin de semana de Julio, que han bajado 15€ el precio del abono, pasando a valer 225€ para esta edición. Estan a la venta desde ayer y el primer grupo confirmado es NOFX.

Para cualquier duda, información y lo que quieran saber....aquí uno que lleva yendo desde 2004 hasta la fecha.

Me parece que el año que viene no voy a festivalear por Europa.
Coincide el Azkena con el Hard Rock Calling londinense y la verdad no me veo de nuevo en el Werchter, estoy mayor para esas cosas ya (megafestivales abarrotados without hotel). A ver qué nos van ofreciendo nuestros vecinos portugueses, ahí sí que me veo de nuevo.

Habrán bajado la entrada pero han empezado a cobrar por las acreditaciones. 67 euros más 47 del camping. Mamones.

Ya las cobraron el año pasado por primera vez... eso me da que ya no tiene vuelta atras...

Pues estaria muy bien ver a Rancid y NOFX en el Azkena.

SHANTEL

Esta semana han confirmado cositas "cañeras". De momento solo 14 nombres llevan anunciados:

CONVERGE (US) has frightened and fascinated a growing audience since 1990. The American four-piece’s starting point is the tortured scream from Black Flag, but Converge has taken the classic hardcore punk and refined the expression by adding math-rock and extreme metal to the equation. Converge’s latest album is Axe to Fall on which they prove that they still manage to speak to both the bespectacled and the tattooed audience.

SERENA-MANEESH (N) sounds like My Bloody Valentine or Sonic Youth if these had grown up in the far North on a diet of reindeer meat and melted snow. The critically acclaimed band played Roskilde Festival back in 2006 after having released its debut album. Now the much awaited follow-up, S-M 2: Abyss In B Minor, is on the way, so we are looking forward to a new visit from the Norwegian jøtuler’s massive noise rock.

SÓLSTAFIR (ISL) combine their starting point in the metal genre with symphonic sequences, which is reminiscent of post-rock and gives the music a cinematic rush to the stomach. Several sources have mentioned the band as some kind of hard-hitting, metal counterpart to Sigur Rós.

VALIENT THORR (US) play some of the most unfashionable, but also effective heavy rock that you can imagine. A great experience is almost guaranteed for everyone who has tapped their feet to the sounds of Black Sabbath, MC5 and Motörhead.

Prince tambien va a ofrecer un concierto en el parque donde se celebra el Rock Werchter el 10 de Julio y el 9 de Julio en Francia en el lugar donde se celebra el Main Square Festival.
