Black Keys: "El Camino" ya está aquí!!!

El año pasado me refería al 2009. Ya he visto que había un post comentando lo del disco de blakroc.

The Black Keys han cancelado una serie de conciertos, alegando que están “demasiado agotados” como para llevarlos a cabo. La banda suspende según una nota colgada en su web todas las fechas que tenían que realizar durante el próximo mes, en especial la gira australiana y también parte de la europea (que no incluía fechas en nuestro país), donde presentaban su último álbum, ‘Brothers’. La banda agradece a sus fans su apoyo, sobre todo por haber logrado que este disco haya podido ser un éxito. Según el NME la banda retomará su actividad en abril, aunque como podéis ver en su site, algunos de los conciertos previstos se mantienen.

12 conciertos en Australia, 4 en Alemania y un par más en Suiza y Francia cancelados por MARICONAS

Nada. Le he dado bastantes y atentas escuchas al Brothers, y Black Keys, por el momento, no son para mi. Tienen muchísimo talento, eso es innegable, pero al llegar al ecuador del disco voy perdiendo el interés.

Pido disculpas a todos por mi torpeza visual. Efectivamente, acabo de constatar que se trataba de conciertos a finales de junio,pero del 2010.

pues me has jodido Slovako, ese era mi clavo ardiendo...que el 22 estuvieran en Hyde Park.

el 10 en Indianapolis, el 27 en Vancouver ....que vinieran a Europa en esos 15 días intermedios suena a quimera.

Una pregunta, ¿alguien me puede decir cual era el disco de rap del que formaba parte alguno de los miembros de black keys? Este año alguien publicó un post sobre el disco pero no lo encuentro.

He says that the Keys were seeking a group groove: "I've never been into guitar solos. I really like when every instrument in the band is a rhythm instrument. This record has a lot of that going on -- guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards all working together as a rhythm instrument. But unlike Brothers, which has more of these slower songs with an open feeling, [the new LP] is definitely fast."

So fast, in fact, that the sound may be tough to recreate live. "Pat's never played drums like this before -- he's never played this fast," Auerbach says of his bandmate. "He's definitely worried about being able to play some of these songs live."

The Black Keys have only a handful of live gigs scheduled this summer, leaving them time to mix and master the album.

Still, Auerbach is keeping busy with side projects, producing albums from Texas rockers Hacienda, who are friends, New Orleans legend Dr. John, and Long Beach, CA, garage rockers the Growlers. "They're like my favorite band right now," Auerbach says.

And what of a follow-up to Auerbach's 2009 solo debut, Keep It Hid? "I really want to make another [solo LP]," he says. "But I'm sort of running out of free time."

Pues pinta bien la cosa. Parece que siguen reinventando estilos y suena más como una vuelta a sus orígenes sin serlo del todo, no?
