Hey guys,
I ran into George Reiff on Saturday night in Alpine, TX. He was playing with Ray Wylie Hubbard. I spoke with him for about 10 minutes; he couldn't have been any nicer.

Here's what I found out:

He's not in the Chris Robinson Band. It's going to be California guys and the tour will start in the spring with dates in CA. They band is going to be traveling by van for the first shows. He thinks the band will be doing some stuff with North Miss. Allstars. George seemed a little irritated he's not in the band but had nothing but good things to say about CR/NEM.

He wasn't too clear about the time frame but he did say that he's done some more recording with CR.

George is also playing with Courtyard Hounds, the sisters from the Dixie Chicks new band. The band also includes Audley Freed.

He said he was in London a couple weeks ago doing some stuff with the Stacey brothers.

He thinks the Crowes will get back together in 3-5 years; when neither CR or RR has made any money solo

Glad tidings freakers!

Just wanted to give you the good word about who is in the brotherhood and what our trip is about. First off, the players. Joining myself will be Neal Casal on guitar, Adam MacDougall on keyboards, George Sluppick on drums and Mark "Muddy" Dutton on Bass.

We'll be playing a bunch of new songs I have been working on and will be digging deep into what is happening at that musical moment. There will be old stuff that I've done and a handlful of covers that just feel right.

Please come with your good vibes, feel free to trip along with the bouncing ball or just float away. Remember we all want great gigs!

So if you see California, say Hello.
