El disco del año se ha vuelto a retrasar hasta el 29 de abril.
Podéis escuchar el segundo tema en streaming en varias webs. Suena bastante a los Heartbreakers y creo que ya está a la venta en iTunes. Llevo bastante rato intentando conseguir los 6 temas completos que los compradores de entradas para la gira pueden descargar en la página de ticketmaster. Si alguien lo tiene que avise.

Gran disco. De entrada me parece mejor que los dos últimos, aunque haya subrayado el acento vaquil de su sonido. A ver que tal aguanta las escuchas, pero fijo que estará entre lo mejor del año para gran parte de los foreros.

La única pega que le encuentro es que tal vez tiene muchas versiones, que por otra parte son de lo mejor del disco, especialmente Lover of the Bayou. No creo que hayan sido demasiado ambiciosos, pero todo les queda perfecto. Supongo que las críticas negativas llegarán en un par de días. Por ahora lo peor que he leído proviene de fans encabronados que van a ver al grupo esperando que toque los hits de los Heartbreakers.

Tampoco es un disco que me haya volado la cabeza (quizá por el propio estilo del disco, ya que me va el Petty más rouckero y melódico) pero tiene calidad y clase por los cuatro costados y hoy por hoy me parece que es un cambio positivo para Petty ya que los últimos de los Heartbreakers eran buenos pero sonaban un tanto a 'piloto automático' en algunos temas.

De todas formas creo que hay que tener en cuenta que son Mudcrutch y no los Heartbreakers y que este álbum se parió en los primeros 70, independientemente de que haya pasado por el estudio ahora.

En cuanto a lo de los fans de los Heartbreakers encabronados porque no tocan sus hits y tocan el material de Mudcrutch solo puedo decir una cosa: QUE SE JODAN.

No me malinterprete. Es un discazo por sí mismo. Pero es lástima que no haya sangre nueva que rivalice como sí ocurría en la época de Wildflowers, por ejemplo, y que a mes de Abril ya sepamos que este disco no baja del Top 5 del año fijo.
