Events-
Nocturnal Vermont winter- Last February I spent recording 40 or so demos in the middle of the night. I barely saw the sun for a month and I would take walks early in the morning in the blue light and the snow with no one around.
Moving to LA- I left Vermont and for 2 months I subletted a room in an amazing house in Laurel Canyon. It was the closest thing I could find to Vermont in LA. I wrote songs on the ancient piano there, drank coffee alongside Sebastian Bach in the mornings at the country store, and spied on Jack Osbourne through the brambles whilst he blasted NIN.
Detroit – after my time in laurel canyon I flew to Detroit to record with Bobby Harlow in an old abandoned elementary school. I got sick and Bobby made me drink lots of raw juice and I think I peed more than I ever have in my entire life.

a personal random and by no means comprehensive top ten love fd
1. Living at the beach (powerful sea energy, more emphasis on health + bicycles more than cars, and tons more surfing, also babe city )
2. Breathing through worry + anxiety, and letting the little naysaying babbling voice in the head play itself out rather than getting stuck believing it
3. old surf/skate/whale movies on the tv with no sound (good with sound on or off)
4. Having a monthly club nite … super fun, redunks (http://www.farmerdavescher.com/clubpacific)
5. Hanging out at Linda’s in Seattle around 1999 (?) (fire up your flux capacitors…I’ll meet y’all there)
now some music:
6. Mark Eric Midsummer’s Day Dream (whole album—rev old single pics think “Build Your Own Dream” or “Lynns Baby”)
7. Dirty Beaches “true blue” (like that song)
8. Spirit The Spirit of ’76…. (Tampa-recorded many gems-containing bicentennial double album, mental… if I had to pick songs, “Like a Rolling Stone” or “Feeling in Time”)
9. Pagliaro, “Some Sing Some Dance” (mental)
10. Boz Scaggs “the Low Down” ….. hearing it loud flipped my lid put me down one night in Austin, with me still. A molecule-changer. I’ll see y’all later
oh, and 10.5 BWS Returns… the Juggler’s last revenge, bustin’ domes for old times sake

A typical day in Music – My Top Ten
10. 1. The kid is at pre-school and the wife is at work, time to blast Birds Of Maya Ready to Howl with my first cup of coffee of the morning.
2. Thelonious Monk Plays Duke Ellington for the walk from home to the BART train station. More coffee.
3. Try to wrap my head around The Gift by Lewis Hyde during the commute from Oakland to San Francisco. The current trend of letting business types dress casual really pisses me off. It’s become increasingly hard to differentiate US vs. THEM at first glance. Come on people, back to briefcases and power suits. At risk of a $250 fine – more coffee.
4. Try to regain my psyche with Andy Kim’s 1968 debut How’d We Ever Get This Way. More coffee.
5. Power through the late morning / early afternoon with the Thin Lizzy Vagabonds, Kings, Warriors, Angels box set. At this point I think it’s safe to say I’ll love Thin Lizzy for the rest of my life. More coffee.
6. During my sanctioned 45 minute lunch break watch the MK Ultra CIA mind control documentary on YouTube: https://youtu.be/e8k0C88B0QE
7. After lunch pick-me-up with the Pumphouse Gang S/t reissue on Sing Sing. Last cup of coffee.
8. Oneohtrix Point Never Replica for the commute home.
9. Erik Satie Satie: 3 Gymnopedies for dinner jams with the fam. Switch to beer.
10. Scott Walker: 30 Century Man movie for late night entertainment. More beer and then to bed.

Number fourteen: The amazing young man who came out to his parents immediately before coming to our show in Boston and then danced harder than anyone in attendance

Steal your heart when your blind. You’ll fall in love and you’ll be screaming dreaming. Never trust a big butt and a smile. That girl is poison.”

La próxima vez me pincho 'Steve McQueen' o 'From Langeley to Memphis' y me quedo mucho más a gusto

No jodas, tío.

Bueno, te sorprenderías, yo le dí a M83 y Foster The People los máximos votos...
