No. De momento llenan pabellones, pero les falta dar el salto a los estadios. Tienen gran poder de convocatoria, pero no llegan al nivel de unos U2 o Coldplay... (ojo, que hablo de capacidad de llenar estadios y popularidad, no de calidad)

Lleva tiempo el nuevo en mi ipod y gana enteros a cada escucha (aunque ya de primeras me pareció bueno). Siguen facturando grandes melodías, me gustaría ver cómo se lo montan en directo.

Si la gira de este disco pasa por aquí, es más que posible que vaya a verles...

Yo insisto en que es su mejor disco. Hay que darle tiempo y hacer muchas millas/kms junto a él para ir descubriendo lo buenas que son todas y cada una de las canciones. En particular las que cité hace unas semanas. A mí me cuesta quedarme con una pero "Be Still" me parece uno de los temas del año y es la que he elegido para mi pedazo BOOMhan 2012. A pesar de que es un tema que te deja un poco por los suelos (aunque se supone que es para todo lo contrario).

Entre mis 5 discos del año sin duda alguna.

El sonido putapénico. La banda bien. Brandon es único.
La puesta en escena, a lo grande.
En algunos momentos sonaron rockeros, creedme.
No en vano es una banda de guitarra, bajo, batería y voz.
Las covers, mejor que las hubieran sustituido por otras dos del Battle Born...

Yo no le veo ningun sentido a los grandes exitos, en general, y mucho menos a un grandes exitos tras 4 discos de estudio y un rarezas.  

Y mucho menos a un grandes éxitos sin Bones.

seguro que si lo sacaran los monos árticos esos si que le veríais sentido

de the killers se podría hacer un triple recopilatorio, faltan muchos temones en ese recopilatorio

El tracklist del disco lo veo bastante correcto, aunque echo en falta All These Things That I've Done.
Y me alegra ver que se incluye The Way It Was del último disco, que inexplicablemente no fue single.

Entonces efectivamente el disco que no está adecuadamente representado es el segundo.

Soy un gran defensor de este grupo,pero efectivamente me parece una barbaridad sacar un grandes éxitos tan pronto.

el recopilatorio ese es penoso, faltan muchos temas y la elección es muy discutible

El disco les vendrá de perlas a los que sólo conozcan un par de canciones de los Killers. Desde luego que faltan temas ahí.

Pues entonces está bien sacarlo ahora, porque si con 4 discos (o 5) ya se echan en falta temas en el recopilatorio, imagina si tienen más.

No me disgusta, pero siguen con su rollo ochentero a tope y no hay nada que hacer.

Parece ser q el bajista de The Killers abandone la banda. Por lo q perece la banda esta cansada de tanto tour y el primero en abandonar la banda (de momento de manera temporal, aunq la cosa pinta mal) es su bajista

The reasons for his temporary departure from the band have been described as for “personal” and “physical” reasons. Frontman Brandon Flowers laughed when asked about his absence in a new interview with NME magazine.
“I hear different stories all the time. He’s tired…something physical, something mental. I can’t force him to come here. But it’s fine, we’re getting through.”
Drummer Ronnie Vanucci says he hopes The Killers keep going if Stoermer quits the band permanently, “If he ever goes down that road, that’s his decision. I’d hope we’d keep on truckin. But at the same time, it isn’t the same band…”
Guitarist Dave Keuning is fed up with the state of the band and their touring schedule, “I’m sick of this. I’m done. The end is in sight. Some people might go (adopts sarcastic squeaky voice) ‘Why are you complaining?’ But you haven’t done what I’ve done, so you can’t relate. We’ve just…toured a shitload.”
Flowers plans on releasing a new solo album by early 2015, but hopes that the band will stick it out and that any issues with Stoermer will be in the past by the time they make another album, “Whatever’s happening now [with Stoermer] is going to be fine by the time we make another record.”

El segundo tema nuevo es mucho mejor que el primero (sólo faltaba), aunque la letra es de quinceañero total.

Al escuchar el resto de canciones del recopilatorio me da la impresión de que han sido retocadas / remezcladas / remasterizadas / repasteurizadas o algo. O son cosas mias?

If it were up to The Killers, the band would have waited a while to release a greatest hits album.
In a new interview with UK tabloid The Daily Star, drummer for the group Ronnie Vannucci voiced his disdain for releasing the band’s new compilation album “Direct Hits” .
“We’d wait another 10 years if it was up to us, but it’s a contractual thing. We can fill a CD so it makes good business sense at this time of year. However, it’s not like we’re so pleased with ourselves we want to put it out. It feels like a douchie move.”
Vannucci also discussed the band’s status:
“I’m looking forward to coming back when we’re ready. It’s a very strange existence, a huge juggling act to navigate this rock and roll life. The perception of us is what it is – people know what’s up. Bands don’t usually make it this long – if you get past 10 years, you’re bionic. It’s not like everything we touch turns to f***ing gold. Thank God for you guys in the UK as I don’t think we’d have made it without you – you guys get it.”
