Johnny Ramone Tribute 2016
Hey Ho, Let’s Go! Join Ramones fans from around the world at the Annual Johnny Ramone Tribute presented by Linda Ramone at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Steve Jones, from the Sex Pistols and Jonesy’s Jukebox hosts this year’s party. We will be showing the cult classic ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL on a giant wall on the beautiful Fairbanks Lawn followed by a Q&A with P.J. Soles (Riff Randall in the film), executive producer Roger Corman, director Allan Arkush and surprise special guests. We will also show the RAMONES' IT’S ALIVE 1974-1996! after the Q&A.
DJ Howie Pyro will be spinning tunes all night.
Metallica guitarist Kirk “Von” Hammett’s special collection of horror movie memorabilia will also be on display for fans to explore. Rarely seen in public, the collection includes a treasure trove of movie posters, props, toys and costumes from his personal collection.
Morrison Hotel Gallery will have a pop-up exhibition of Ramones and punk photography.
Visit the special Johnny Ramone pop-up shop, and stop by his statue, which will be decorated specially for the event.
Finally, no one will go hungry! Bring your own picnic (beer and wine permitted) or get food from one of the food trucks that will be attending or the on site concessions stand.
Proceeds from the celebration will benefit the Johnny and Linda Ramone Foundation, supporting prostate cancer research, and Dr. David Agus at the Center for Applied Medicine, the Keck School of Medicine, USC.

Henry Rollins, John Doe & Steve Jones are coming together to celebrate the life and legacy of the one and only Johnny Ramone at Hollywood Forever. Steve Jones is hosting this year’s event, Rollins is a special guest, and John Doe will be moderating the Q&A panel discussions with the casts of two of the greatest punk rock movies of all time, Rock ‘N’ Roll High School and Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains.

Directed by Lou Adler and starring our very own Steve Jones, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains tells the tale of an all-girl punk band’s meteoric rise and fall. Said to have influenced future riot grrrl pioneers such as Courtney Love, Bikini Kill and L7, this is a cult classic you won’t want to miss. We will also be welcoming some special surprise guests from the film at the Tribute.

For the first time in over 30 Years, the cast of Rock ‘N’ Roll High School will also be
reuniting for a very special Q&A panel discussion before the screening of the film! Mary Woronov (Principal Evelyn Togar), Clint Howard  (Eaglebauer), Vince Van Patten (Tom Roberts), will be joining PJ Soles (Riff Randell), “King of the Bs” Roger Corman (producer) and Allan Arkush (director) and the writers of the film, Richard Whitley and Russ Dvonch to share what it was really like filming with Ramones and creating one of punk rock’s greatest films.

Also featured is an exhibition of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s collection of movie monster memorabilia in the Hollywood Forever mausoleum, Morrison Hotel Gallery’s exhibit of Ramones/punk photography, exclusive Ramones merchandise and fans from all over the world.
