Robert Deleo (STP): Lessons Learned (2022)

Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo tweeted the following over the weekend, “Recording here at HOMeFRY today.. Finally getting around to songs I started back in ’01…feels great!!!”
The STP B-sides “About a Fool” and “Samba Nova” were originally intended as Robert DeLeo solo tracks, but STP recorded them in 2001 and later officially released them as bonus tracks on special editions of their 2010 self-titled album.

Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo has confirmed that he will be contributing to Delta Deep’s upcoming self titled debut album. Phil Collen (Def Leppard/Manraze) expressed his excitement stating, “Robert’s a lovely guy and I can’t wait to jam with him on this album.” Collen and drummer Forrest Robinson will likely join forces in the studio with DeLeo early April as they continue to record tracks for the album. Other guest artists include Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Whitesnake’s David Coverdale. The album will also include an original track written by renowned composer/producer CJ Vanston and Phil Collen.”

Casi mejor que los hermanos DeLeo se busquen la vida fuera de STP, que con ese nuevo cantante sólo pueden dar pena y se ha demostrado que en sus otros proyectos paralelos como Talk Show o Army of Anyone había calidad.

Robert DeLeo va a sacar el 21 de Octubre su primer disco en solitario Lessons Learned. El primer adelanto me ha encantado y me ha sorprendido mucho la voz de Robert. Siempre habia hecho coros en STP pero no sabía que tenia una voz tan bonita. X cierto, la portada del disco en preciosa.
