Yo diría que sí. Igual que Countryjoe, no?  
Mejor que su debut y Second Psychedelic Coming: The Aquarius Tapes.

La banda finlandesa de rock psicodélico se ha marcado, en este tercer trabajo, su mejor obra.
Además me recuerdan mucho a Rose Windows

Es un disco sencillamente precioso.

Se han ido totalmente a los 60s, los Doors, Jefferson Airplane... todo molto bene, me encanta, aunque echo de menos cuando en su álbum de debut se acercaban casi al heavy metal NWOBHM y al progresivo 70s.

Si, hay un minimo, como lo hay tambien para las peliculas. Vale que tambien depende del genero y que tampoco me pondria tiquis-miquis si no llega al minimo por 2 o 3 minutos, pero en plena era actual donde ya no tienes las limitaciones de los vinilos antiguos que menos que un disco de este genero no baje 38 min por ejemplo (yo el estandar de disco normal lo he visto siempre en 40 min). Aunque vaya, no tengo tampoco ningun problema con los discos que superan la hora si estos son buenos; otra cosa ya es que el puto ritmo de vida que llevamos no oblige a tener que buscar un momento adecuado para poderlos escucharlos del tiron (eso si cuando lo hago, pues pocas cosas encuentro mas placenteras que escucharme el Lateralus de Tool que creo que dura casi 79 min... por poner un caso del otro extremo   ). Si tengo que elegir, voto por el equilibrio.

La gente pica, por que se conforma. He dicho que es muy buen disco (por que lo es) pero, como ves, no estoy conforme por que es poca cantidad de producto el ofrecido.

Claro, pero si no tenian mas temas al mismo nivel que se esperen y lo saquen cuando los tengan, como hacen muchos otros grupos.

Me gusta mas el debut que su continuación, principalmente por eso que comentáis.

No obstante, tanto comentario positivo me anima mucho para coger este "the Horse...". A ver si me pongo!

Un clásico del primer disco en directo:

Me entero ahora que en 2013, durante un parón de Jess And The Ancient Ones, 5 de los 7 miembros de la banda grabaron otro disco como The Exploding Eyes Orchestra, en principio para dar salida a la vena creativa del guitarrista Thomas Corpse. Quizás aquí hay una variedad estilística más anárquica y algunos temas más íntimos y sentimentales, pero en una primera aproximación no me ha parecido demasiado alejado de lo que hacen Jess And The Ancient Ones. La mayoría, si no todos los temas, podrían entrar en un disco de Jess y los Antiguos.

Ahora anuncian que este spin-off no va a tener continuidad, pero que como despedida editan un segundo álbum, II, que tendría que salir en unos días. Como adelanto ya ha salido este tema con su correspondiente vídeo:

The music flows unrestrained, with a few tasteful nods to genre forebearers such as Danzig or David Bowie hidden here and there.

The first single is called Nightmare and will be available via all digital outlets on April 12th. The straightforward no holds barred -type of song is built around a central theme that’s famous from many a Danzig song – a hunter tailing helpless female prey – but turns the setting on its head by placing an empowered female protagonist as the hunter.

Saarela describes how the songwriting process has stemmed from a need to create and ponder one’s existence and surroundings.
– “Music for me represents constant progress and a means to get by in our existence in this dimension. I’ve written these songs on the guitar or piano. I first started my solo project with Timo from Jess and the Ancient Ones, but eventually gathered a solo band around me from people at my school.

Saarela considers the album a paean to nature and the human mind, also to an indescribable longing, so well known to all romantic artists of the past centuries.

Este segundo adelanto me ha gustado bastante mas que el primero.  

Quizás se podrían haber desmelenado un poco mas hacia el final de esos 7 minutos, pero bien, mola.

Muchas ganas de escuchar el vozarrón de esta mujer, aunque sea en solitario.

Interstellar es un temarral tremendo. Para mi la mejor con diferencia. Me gusta The Wait, My Hands.....pero en líneas generales no me ha convencido demasiado.

Estaba escuchando el primer disco de Jess y los antiguos, al que llegué una vez por causalidad vía Descrubrimiento Semanal de Spotify, y se me ocurrió usar el buscador a ver si se había hablado, y ahora veo esto. Lo dejo marcado para cuando termine el disco.

Eso sí, me apena que digáis que la vena NWOBHM se ha perdido...
