Menuda sorpresa me estoy llevando con estos tipos. No tenía ni idea de quienes son, pero me he descargado este disco ya que están en el cartel del Sonisphere para "catarlos" y...qué sorpresa.

Son muy pero que muy originales. Mezclan, aunque parezca mentira, el rock n´roll clásico con el metal. Y aunque parezca mentira, lo que sale de ahí mola.

¿ Alguno los controla ?

Recuerdo haber leido algo de estos daneses en alguna web de confianza, pegarles una escucha y parecerme poco serios. Para fans de Metallica circa Load.

A mí el Load me parece un discazo, quizá por eso me esté molando éste

Lo que no me acaba de convencer es la voz del notas.

Tampoco me acaba de convencer el deje a nu-metal de ciertos temas. Me mola cuando suenan más a metal.

Bueno, dejaremos el disco en barbecho.

la voz es una mezcla de hetfield con un toque rock 50´s..el problema para mi gusto es que o se reinventan un poco o el factor sorpresa del primer disco desparece y puede llegar a aburrir, si te ha gustado trumbo, pegale un orejazo al último de Mustasch

Estan de puta madre, los empece a escuchar cuando se confirmaron para el BBK Live. tengo entendido que vienen de una banda de Death Metal, es curioso pero me da la impresion de que los Death Metaleros siempre tienen una vena rockera del copon.

Es sorprendente que no se hable nada de ellos en el foro (aunque ahora que lo dijo, cero que me equivoco y que si que hubo topic hace bastante tiempo).

De estos tipos a mi el que más me gusta es el segundo disco. THE REBEL METAL THE DEVIL, creo que es el más original, y si molan pero pueden llegar a cansar un poquito.

El cantante y lider de la banda (ahora no me acuerdo de su nombre) antes provenia de una banda cercana al Death (de la cual tampoco me acuerdo de su nombre)
A mi Volbeat es una banda que me parece muy interesante y con un directo muy potente.
Tengo sus 2 trabajos puestos en mi blog, lo que no se es si seguiran activos los enlaces de descarga.

yo los vi el año pasado en el hellfest y tienen un buen directo, me gusto.

La primera vez que los escuché me parecieron mucho más de lo que me parecen ahora ( de hecho, abrí el topic mientras los escuchaba por primera vez, invadido por la euforia ) . Se me desinflaron bastante cuando escuché los discos 2 o 3 veces. De hecho, los discos fueron enviados al reciclaje.

Aún así, me causan una mínima curiosidad como para verlos en el Sonisphere si llego a tiempo ( los han puesto a las 16:30 me parece ).

Los estuvimos viendo unos cuantos en streaming ayer, , aunque en directo dando unos botes seguro que se disfrutan

Sí, esa es la impresión que tengo. Grupo que puede molar bastante en directo, pero que no me veo escuchando en casa ( Rammstein sería otro ejemplo de esto ).

Rammstein yo los había visto en un Festimad, y molaran a saco con todo el fuego y esas cosas, el show mola, y de eso hace la tira de años, ahora supongo renovarían todos los numeritos, en ese concierto la pasáis bien seguro, es un poco lo de Kiss pero en alemán

Pues a mí me molan un montón, yo los veo más trash metaleros y la voz del pavo me parece una seña de identidad del grupo que es imprescindible, este disco por lo que estoy oyendo es correcto sin más, el single que sacaron y dos más se salvan, por lo que llevo escuchado. El disco que más me gusta es el VOLBEAT ROCK THE REBEL METAL THE DEVIL .

A mi me parecen una mezcla entre Metallica y Social Distortion.

The band has also shared that former Anthrax and The Damned Things guitarist Rob Caggiano has officially joined the band. Caggiano served as producer on Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, alongside long-time production partner Jacob Hansen, who produced and mixed the band's prior four albums. Caggiano's producer credits include The Damned Things, Bleeding Through and Anthrax amongst others, and he was a member of Anthrax for two tenures from 2001-2005 and again from 2007-2013. Singer and guitarist Michael Poulsen shared,

"The band is very proud and happy to announce that he will also be the new guitar player in Volbeat. The collaboration with Rob in the studio was so inspiring and in good spirit that we the decided to keep him. Basically we went into the studio as a three piece and came out as a whole band!”

Caggiano offers a detailed explanation of the chain of events that transpired in adding, "Wow! I have to say I'm completely blown away by the turn of events over the last few weeks here in Denmark and at this point an update is definitely in order. To start with, I came to Denmark about a month ago to produce the new Volbeat record which in and of itself has been an incredibly exciting adventure from a producer's perspective thus far. However, I'm extremely happy to say my relationship with these guys will not end there as it turns out......it's just beginning! Michael had asked me on the phone before I got out here if I would play some guest solos on the new album in addition to my other duties and of course I was thrilled about that and agreed to do so. When I actually got to Denmark and started going through the material, this turned out to be so much more than that. After weeks of collaboration between Michael and I it became quite clear that we had an amazing creative chemistry together and a huge mutual respect for one another. It's so refreshing and inspiring to be creative again on a songwriting level that words can't even describe it and the vibe between Anders, Jon, Michael and I is just awesome. I'd say an artistic relationship like this one is very rare and it's also something I don't take for granted. When the guys asked me if I was interested in joining Volbeat the other day, my jaw just about hit the floor! It actually didn't even register in my brain properly until the next morning but I gotta say, it also didn't take me long to decide. It really isn't the way I envisioned the rest of my year to play out but at the same time, THIS feels more "right" to me than anything I could have possibly imagined and I'm going for it! Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies will be released on Universal Music and Volbeat has revealed the cover for the upcoming album, and a photograph from the studio featuring the new line-up, both of which are available upon request. Poulsen reveals,

"Half of the album tracks will take you into the world of outlaw gunslinger stories sometime in the 1800s. Some of the characters are true legends, while others are fiction. The listener will hear inspiration from classic spaghetti western movies which gives you a clue to the album title and cover artwork."

Poulsen also offers additional detail on the recordings sharing,

"We are still ‘rocking out’ in the studio, and working on the last details. We are very excited about this album. We feel that we’ve achieved the goals we set out. The heavy stuff on the album is perhaps more old school heavy riffs than earlier, and the rock songs rock out with tons of melodies and take us into unchartered territory. All that without losing the Volbeat sound that is the cornerstone of our band."

Espectacular concierto en Bilbao. La Santana hasta arriba. Lo único malo es que ha sido bastante corto.

Estoy con vosotros. Sono a cañon!!!!! Una maravilla, como suena esta banda.
No serán unos virtuosos, pero lo q hacen lo hacen a la perfección.
Y lo q decis, por 27 euros, me parecio demasiado corto.

Un par de vídeos:

Muy potente el show de Barcelona, quizás costo un poco arrancar en los primeros temas, pero suenan tremendos, muchas tablas, canciones que enganchan, muy heavys cuando quieren, un frontman comunicativo, etc.... A mi no se me hizo corto, una hora y media con un set list equilibrado entre todos sus discos. Y algo destacable en Barcelona, Sold Out! La sala estaba a tope y el publico se entrego.
