Lo nuevo de GINGER "The Triple Album Project", ahora "555%"

Ya hace semanas que se sabe lo del nuevo proyecto de Ginger pero me sorprende que ni se haya comentado aquí...
Básicamente, Ginger pide pasta para grabar su próximo disco. Se tratará de un disco triple! Formado por 30 canciones. Esta edición sólo se podrá comprar a través de pledgemusic. Luego tengo entendido que se editará de forma más "standard" un álbum con 12 de las 30 canciones. El tracklist de ese cd lo votarán los que hayan comprado la edición triple...
Decir que de momento ha sido el artista que ha tenido más éxito en pledgemusic y ya ha superado de largo las mejores expectativas. Vamos, que ya tiene la pasta para grabar el álbum!
Los que lo compren, tendrán acceso a imágenes de la grabación en el estudio etc


Today we launch a PledgeMusic campaign that will aim to release Ginger's next record - a triple album no less! That's 30 brand-spanking new tracks up for grabs!

The way it will work is you help to fund the recording and production of the album up front, making you the fan a part of the "record company", and taking the control away from the big labels to keep this a truly independent release. Once the target has been reached, pledged money will be drawn from your account, the album will be recorded and then released to you as soon as it's finished.
If the target isn't reached in time, then the project doesn't happen at all, and no money will be taken from anyone...but we don't want that now do we?

"A quick update:

Just back from our UK acoustic tour, which was a brilliant success - way too much fun to consider legal employment - and can officially say that we have the drummers locked in for the entire 3 album project (names to be announced soon).

Now I'm home working on finishing the second half of the songs before heading out to Japan for what proves to be a very emotional, yet important tour.

Once I'm back on UK terra firma rehearsals will begin, and then we'll start the recording process beginning with the first ten songs.

There will be regular studio reports and exciting live links with the guys.

I can't even describe how proud I am to see the album continue to climb beyond 300% percent. You lot are amazing and what you're doing is nothing short of miraculous.

Once again, heartfelt thanks and see you in the studio.

No lo comenté??? El primer día de la "pledge" ya le di mi pasta al pelirrojo. Que ganazas!!! Por otra parte el disco en solitario "The Frankenstein Effect" está a punto de no ver la luz, según él hay un 50% de posibilidades que salga y un 50% que no.

Y bueno, lo de la "promesa" le ha funcionado tan jodidamente bien que dice que lo más probable es que siga utilizando este sistema para sus siguientes lanzamientos. Algo que me parece perfecto! Sin duda los fans de Ginger somos leales!

De The Wildhearts ya nos podemos ir olvidando a no ser que haya una buena oferta sobre la mesa. Scott Sorry hace vida familiar y no quiere ni grabar ni girar, CJ tiene sus negocios y Ginger no creo que reactive el grupo si no es con ellos. Con lo felices que seríamos con Danny... pero creo que es a la única persona a la que Ginger guarda bastante rencor.

Hace justo una semana que lo ví en Brighton en su acoustic tour. Brillante, como siempre. Molan sus nuevos colores de guerra, con la cara pintada en una mezcla entre Kiss y alguna banda satánica, jajaj. Y el Jon Poole en escena casi se comió al propio Ginger, que crack!

A los que habían/habíamos secundado la recolecta tuvieron el detalle de pasarnos a la prueba sonido y un meet & greet. Estuvo curioso.

Ahora a esperar el album (y a seguir el proceso de grabación).

Bueno, pues le daremos la pasta a nuestro entrañable pelirrojo. Lo de los Wildhearts me ha matado

Willie Dowling (Honeycrack, Jackdaw4) has also been confirmed as the producer for the first 10 tracks.
With such exceptional talent onboard, this session should produce some great results, and be a fine way to start the album off!"

Ion, me tiene intrigado, el hecho de saber de dónde sacas toda esa información! Lo mejor de todo es que, muchas cosas que has adelantado por aquí, a posteriori, efectivamente, se han traducido en hechos. Aunque quizás prefiero el no saber el "cómo", por mantener la intriga, como en la magia y SantaClos. Jjeje.

jajaja, no, es muy fácil! Ginger tiene una cuenta en Fromsprig en responde TODAS las preguntas que le hacen los fans. Le preguntan cosas bastante interesantes y bueno, tambien responde bastantes trivialidades.

Fyfe! Me encanta ese tio. Que ha hecho despues de therapy?

Primer cd (10 u 11 temas) completo. En breves empiezan a grabar el segundo. Esta vez con CJ, Ritch y John Pool A ver si en febrero lo tenemos en las manos coñe!

Por cierto, que venden dvd con todos los videos del pledge que van colgando por si a alguien le interesa... llevará material extra también.

El DVD no me interesa de momento. Los videos me parecen genial para ver como se cuece el asunto y estan bastante graciosos pero no para tenerlos recopilados en un DVD... El mejor es el que ha colgado hace un par de días que componen un tema en el estudio.

Hoy he recuperado Valor del Corazon que me parece absolutamente brillante. Uno de los grandes discos de la década! Tuve una suerte tremenda de verle en la gira de aquel álbum con Conny Bloom, Jon Poole, Jase Edwards de Wolfsbane, coristas y teclado... una pasada. Y encima Tim Smith de Cardiacs de telonero con Ginger y Poole en su banda. Evidentemente antes de los ataques al corazón y el derrame cerebral que le han dejado KO al pobre tipo.

I just wanted to keep you all up to date with the current release schedule of the Triple Album.

If you’ve been following the recent Pledge videos you will be aware that we are currently in Denmark finishing the 3rd session of recording (the final ten tracks) with Jacob Hansen.

We are on track to finish recording on the 31st January, when the Triple album will then go into the mixing and mastering stages through the month of February. We anticipate receiving the final master on March 1st.

As mentioned earlier in this process, the pre order will continue to be made available up until the album is completed. With this in mind, you will have until February 29th to pre order the album in any form. After this time the Pledge will be closed for good.

Once we receive the master during the first week of March, we will then upload all 30 tracks onto the Pledge site – so everyone who has Pledged will receive their digital copies immediately.

As you are receiving your digital copy of the album, we will be sending the master at the same time to the factory to begin the manufacturing process of the Triple Gatefold Vinyl (which will be coloured vinyl) and the Triple CD set (which is going to be 3CD’s in a casebound book).

The factory will generally take 5 – 6 weeks for the finished products to come back to us.

Once the CD’s and Vinyl are delivered, Ginger will begin the process of signing more than 2500 copies for those that have ordered signed items.

Once this is completed all of the CDs, Vinyl and DVDs will be mailed out.

Below is the anticipated schedule of events of the Triple Album.

6th -13th Rehearsal For Session 3
14th – 31st – Recording in Denmark

February
Mixing and Mastering
February 14th – Valentines Day gift – Extra song just for Pledgers available as an exclusive download
February 29th – Pledging Ends on completion of the master.

March
1st – 7th Digital Copy of the 30 tracks is made available
7th March – Master Copy is sent to the factory for manufacturing
TBC – Opportunity for you to let us know your favourite songs (to be put on the commercial release)

April
18th April – Expected date of arrival of stock from the factory.
21st – 28th – Ginger Signing

May
CD’s, Vinyl & DVD’s will be sent out to Pledgers.

As always Ginger will keep you fully updated every step of the way.

WE DID IT!!

Today we hit 555% (the name of the Triple Album) and as promised the hard copies of the Triple CD, Triple Vinyl and Liner Note packages have now been deleted. FOREVER.

At this point you can still Pledge for the following until the album is officially released

Digital Downloads – all 30 songs from the recording session.

DVD – which will feature all of the Pledge videos, along with commentaries from Jon Poole. It will also contain bonus footage from the recording process and recent December tour.

plus a newly added incentive.

“100%” CD – This is the name of the the 12 track single CD that will be commercially released in May, and you can now pre order that direct from PledgeMusic on the right hand side of the screen.

Each of the formats above still comes with the 30 song digital download, so you will still be able to have all the music even if you missed out on the physical triple albums.

JODER ESTOY EMOCIONADO! CÓMO SUENA ESTO!!!!!

Yo llevo toda la tarde con el disco en la cabeza. Justo lo que esperaba, producción a lo grande llena de arreglos y con el "punch moderno" que le da Jacob Hansen. Bestiales las influencias pop-prog (no se ni como llamarlas realmente...) e incluso de baile que hay en el álbum.

Qué ganas de que lleguen las demás canciones. Por cierto, "Deep in The Arms Of Morpheus" es segun Ginger la primera canción que escribió para The Wildhearts. Y dice que esta es la colección de canciones que más se podría acercar al sonido Wildhearts de todas las que ha grabado, así que no tengo ni idea de por donde van a ir los tiros con los otros dos álbumes.

Veremos a ver... Me veo escuchando el nuevo de Ginger las próximas semanas de manera compulsiva! xD

A mí me parece que a Ginger le viene como anillo al dedo. Porque es un tipo con una "fanbase" bastante grande (para los tiempos que corren en el rock) y sobre todo leal. Gracias a esto, Gigner no necesita el apoyo de una discográfica y puede servirnos un producto de grandísima calidad anivel de grabación ya que dispone de pasta para ello.

Es increible que más de 5000 personas hayamos comprado el triple álbum antes de haber escuchado nada. Además, el disco se editará en versión sencilla... todo el mundo gana.

Ginger tiene los suficientes fans como para sacar los discos que quiera de esta manera. Peor eso también es xq lleva 20 años de trayectoria y se le conoce. La putada es q este método no funcionaría con bandas noveles...

Por cierto, habéis votado ya las favoritas en la pledge para el álbum sencillo?

Puede ser, pero me gusta bastante también. Al igual que "Incidental Noises" ambas tienen partes basante experimentales que no entran a la primera, pero ya les he pillado el punto. "The Party Is Over" parece sacada de "Clam Abuse" pero está mucho más trabajada que los temas de aquel "invento". La estrofa es lo más flojillo del tema, pero el estribillo y el puente (o segundo estribillo, como prefieras denomiarlo) me parecen muy adictivos.

Y ojo, porque el segundo CD creo que va a tener temas de una onda parecida y sin duda será más experimental... ya veremos. A mí ya me gusta todo, que le voy a hacer.

a mi tambioén me gusta todo y se aprecie que experimente y se arriege un poco. pero el rollo bailongo me satura un poco. nunca he sido gran fan del disco de clam abuse...
