Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
"Gasoline" additionally became one of the album's most popular tracks despite only appearing on the deluxe version of Badlands; it reached almost 300 million streams on Spotify.
Are you insane like me?
Been in pain like me?
Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me?
Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?
Would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?
Are you high enough without the Mary Jane like me?
Do you tear yourself apart to entertain like me?
Do the people whisper 'bout you on the train like me?
Saying that you shouldn't waste your pretty face like me?
And all the people say
You can't wake up, this is not a dream
You're part of a machine, you are not a human being
With your face all made up, living on a screen
Low on self-esteem, so you run on gasoline
(Oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh)
I think there's a flaw in my code
(Oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh)
These voices won't leave me alone
Well, my heart is gold and my hands are cold
Are you deranged like me?
Are you strange like me?
Lighting matches just to swallow up the flame like me?
Do you call yourself a fucking hurricane like me?
Pointing fingers 'cause you'll never take the blame like me?
And all the people say
You can't wake up, this is not a dream
You're part of a machine, you are not a human being

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
"I Walk The Line" is the last song in the album. A song that starts with sirens and a frantic feel. It’s the final song, and it’s freedom. It’s finally having escaped the Badlands which is reflected through the smooth piano and bass that rules the song.

¿Has pasado dolor como yo?".

In May 2016, Halsey released the song "Tokyo Narita (Freestyle)", produced by Lido. The song was a standalone track that served as a promotional single for both her and Lido.

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
On July 29, 2016, Halsey was featured as a vocalist on the Chainsmokers' single "Closer", a song she also cowrote. The track achieved major commercial success: it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 consecutive weeks, topped the charts of 12 other countries, sold more than 15 million units worldwide, and is one of the most streamed songs on Spotify. The official lyric video for "Closer" was released on YouTube on July 29, 2016, and has since garnered over two billion views.

Halsey announced work on her second studio album prior to the release of Badlands, with progress on the record continuing throughout 2016 and 2017. In January 2017, she released the single "Not Afraid Anymore"; it appears on the soundtrack of the film Fifty Shades Darker (2017).
I am not afraid anymore
Standing in the eye of the storm
Ready to face this, dying to taste this, sick sweet warmth
I am not afraid anymore
I want what you got in store
I'm ready to feed now, get in your seat now
And touch me like you never
And push me like you never
And touch me like you never
'Cause I am not afraid, I am not afraid anymore
No no no
No no no
No no no
No no no
No no no
I am not ashamed anymore
I want something so impure
You better impress now, watching my dress now fall to the floor
Crawling underneath my skin, sweet talk with a hint of sin
Begging you to take me
Devil underneath your grin, sweet thing, but she play to win, heaven gonna hate me
And touch me like you never
And push me like you never
And touch me like you never
'Cause I am not afraid, I am not afraid anymore
No no no
Crawling underneath my skin, sweet talk with a hint of sin
Begging you to take me
Devil underneath your grin, sweet thing, bet you play to win, heaven gonna hate me
And touch me like you never
And push me like you never

'Cause I am not afraid, I am not afraid anymore

Do all the songs of Halsey have to be better than every song?

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Halsey. It was released on June 2, 2017 through Astralwerks. The album features guest appearances from Quavo, Lauren Jauregui and Cashmere Cat. Halsey co-wrote every song on the album, while production was handled by Lido and Benny Blanco, among others. Following its release, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States and the Canadian Albums Chart. The album was also certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the US. In support of the album, Halsey embarked on the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour (2017–2018). The album was described by Halsey as having more "radio friendly music" when compared to her previous releases. As a result, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is primarily a pop and R&B record and features synth-pop and electropop.
Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is a concept album that connects with her previous album Badlands, and Halsey has explained various parallels between lyrics on songs from both albums.Halsey also hinted that something on the album was inspired by the song Empty Gold from her debut EP Room 93. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom's story and characters are mostly inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, with the opening track "The Prologue" featuring the play's prologue spoken by Halsey. Inspiration for the album has also come from Halsey removing herself from a toxic relationship.
The album is noted for swapping the genders of Romeo and Juliet and including same sex relationships. The main character is a bisexual female named Luna Aureum (Luna meaning "moon"), and her main love interest is male character Solis Angelus (Solis meaning "sun"), with references to female love interests in the songs "Bad at Love" and "Strangers", featuring Lauren Jauregui who is bisexual herself.
In the behind-the-scenes video for the first single, "Now or Never", Halsey revealed that the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is a sort of purgatory for people who are too bad for heaven, but too good for hell. Luna and Solis are rumored to be the only two people born inside the Kingdom.[citation needed] The music video for "Now or Never" was heavily influenced by Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film adaptation of the play, Romeo + Juliet.
Musically, Halsey stated that she didn't want her first album to be a radio album and that although this album has a more radio-friendly sound she still sees herself as an alternative artist; Halsey also said that she is "more than capable of writing radio music". For this album, Halsey worked with several producers, including Greg Kurstin, Benny Blanco and Ricky Reed. The record is mainly rooted in pop music and R&B, specifically synth-pop and electropop.

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
"Luna and Rosa are a couple. Who are forced to fight and it breaks Luna's heart to have to have to fight the person she loves. Much like it feels being a toxic relationship." -Halsey 20/06/18 on Twitter
She doesn't kiss me on the mouth anymore
'Cause it's more intimate, than she thinks we should get
She doesn't look me in the eyes anymore
Too scared of what she'll see, somebody holding me
When I wake up all alone
And I'm thinking of your skin
I remember, I remember what you told me
Said that we're not lovers, we're just strangers
With the same damn hunger
To be touched, to be loved, to feel anything at all
We're not lovers, we're just strangers
With the same damn hunger
To be touched, to be loved, to feel anything at all
She doesn't call me on the phone anymore
She's never listening, she says it's innocent
She doesn't let me have control anymore
I must've crossed a line, I must've lost my mind
When I wake up all alone
And I'm thinking of your skin
I remember, I remember what you told me

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
Siguiendo la cronología de videos de HFK...llega NOW OR NEVER
"Obviously, it follows a Romeo and Juliet inspired storyline. Halsey, in this case, is Romeo from the House of Aureum. And the guy is Juliet, House of Angelus. Halsey's house emblem is a bee because they're corrupt, sinful, gluttonous, TOXIC (bee). The Angelus emblem are angel wings because they're supposedly pure and clean. Like Romeo and Juliet, these two people from rival houses fall in love. They decide to tell their best friends. Halsey's friend, although she's from Aureum (bad), she's able to accept Halsey's love for the guy. Guy's best friend, although he's from Angelus (good) doesn't accept their love and betrays them. That's why House of Angelus ambushes and kills the people of the House of Aureum, leaving Halsey on her own."

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator

I don't wanna fight right now
Know you always right,
Now I know I need you 'round with me
But nobody waitin' 'round with me
Been through the ups
Yeah, the ups and the downs with me
Got a whole lot of love
But you don't wanna spread it 'round with me, yeah
Never pick up, never call me
You know we're runnin' out of time
Never pick up when you want me
Now I gotta draw a line
Baby, I done, done enough talking
Need to know that you're mine
Baby, we done, done enough talking
Gotta be right now, right now
Baby, gon' love me now, now, now, now, now, now
Now or never, hey, hey, hey
I want you to hold me down, down, down, down, down, down
Down forever, hey, hey, hey
Said you know I wanna keep you around
'Round forever, hey, hey, hey
I want you to love me now, now, now, now, now, now
Now or never
I'm turnin' off the light right now
I'm callin' it a night now
Wishin' you were 'round with me
But you're in a different town than me
We've been through it all
But you could never spit it out for me
Tryna talk to a wall
But you could never tear it down for me, yeah
Never pick up, never call me
You know we're runnin' out of time
Never pick up when you want me

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
I've missed your calls for months it seems
Don't realise how mean I can be
'Cause I can sometimes treat the people
That I love like jewelry
'Cause I can change my mind each day
I didn't mean to try you on
But I still know your birthday
And your mother's favorite song
So I'm sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you
And all of the things that we had behind
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
I run away when things are good
And never really understood
The way you laid your eyes on me
In ways that no one ever could
And so it seems I broke your heart
My ignorance has struck again
I failed to see it from the start
And tore you open 'til the end
And I'm sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you
And all of the things that we had behind
And someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you
And all of the things that we had behind
And someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
And someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
I've missed your calls for months it seems
Don't realise how mean I can be
'Cause I can sometimes treat the people
That I love like jewelry
'Cause I can change my mind each day
I didn't mean to try you on
But I still know your birthday
And your mother's favorite song
So I'm sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you
And all of the things that we had behind
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
I run away when things are good
And never really understood
The way you laid your eyes on me
In ways that no one ever could
And so it seems I broke your heart
My ignorance has struck again
I failed to see it from the start
And tore you open 'til the end
And I'm sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you
And all of the things that we had behind
And someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
Someone will love you
But someone isn't me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry that I can't believe
That anybody ever really
Starts to fall in love with me
Sorry to my unknown lover
Sorry I could be so blind
Didn't mean to leave you

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
El tema musical sigue la misma estela de Now or Never, r&b superinfeccioso....
Got a boy back home in Michigan
And it tastes like Jack when I'm kissing him
So I told him that I never really liked his friends
Now he's gone and he's calling me a bitch again
There's a guy that lives in a garden state
And he told me that we make it 'til we graduate
So I told him that the music would be worth the wait
But he wants me in the kitchen with a dinner plate
I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe
That we're meant to be
But jealousy, jealousy, jealousy, jealousy
Get the best of me
Look, I don't mean to frustrate, but I
Always make the same mistakes, yeah I
Always make the same mistakes 'cause
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
But you can't blame me for tryin'
You know I'd be lyin' sayin'
You were the one (ooh-ooh)
That could finally fix me
Lookin' at my history
I'm bad at love
Got a girl with California eyes
And I thought that she could really be the one this time
But I never got the chance to make her mine
Because she fell in love with little thin white lines
London girl with an attitude
We never told no one but we look so cute
Both got way better things to do
But I always think about it when I'm riding through
I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe
That I'm in too deep
And jealousy, jealousy, jealousy, jealousy
Get the best in me
Look, I don't mean to frustrate, but I
Always make the same mistakes, yeah I
Always make the same mistakes 'cause
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
But you can't blame me for tryin'
You know I'd be lyin' sayin'
You were the one (ooh-ooh)

Lookin' at my history
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
Oh, you know, you know, you know, you know (ooh)
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
I know that you're afraid
I'm gonna walk away
Each time the feeling fades
Each time the feeling fades
I know that you're afraid
I'm gonna walk away
Each time the feeling fades
You know I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
But you can't blame me for tryin'
You know I'd be lyin' sayin'
You were the one (ooh-ooh)

Lookin' at my history
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
Oh, you know, you know, you know, you know (ooh)
I'm bad at love (ooh-ooh)
Oh, oh

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
Celebration of death" because it's the end of their "death-marked love", and she's celebrating cause she's closing the circle and beginning another chapter. Such a beautiful concept, chapeau ashley
Said he tried to phone me, but I never have time
He said that I never listen, but I don't even try
I got a new place in Cali, but I'm gone every night
So I fill it with strangers so they keep on the lights
She said she told you she knows me, but the face isn't right
She asked if I recognized her and I told her I might
[Pre-Chorus: Halsey]
See, everywhere I go
I got a million different people tryna kick it
But I'm still alone in my mind, yeah
[Chorus: Halsey]
I know you're dying to meet me
But I can just tell you this
Baby, as soon as you meet me
You'll wish that you never did
(You'll wish that you never did)
[Verse 2: Big Sean]
Unh, look
I'm a real rare individual
I'm in the physical and the metaphysical (yeah)
I know you need your alone time, that's critical
But I need some of your time, is that hypocritical?
Damn, you know I relate to you more than fam
So I won't sit around and let you sink in quicksand
Look, I know you got million dollar plans
And you tryna build a brand, live a life in high demand
Swerving big b's, your bag got little G's
Gucci down to the socks like Biggie and Little Ceas'
Let's hit the Maldives and hide behind palm trees
Little red wine, weed, and a calm breeze
'Cause baby, you been living life inside a bubble
When the last time you had somebody hug you?
Hold up, when the last time you had somebody love you?
Hold up, when the last time you love someone who love you?
[Pre-Chorus: Halsey, Big Sean]
You know that everywhere I go
I got a million different people tryna kick it (for real)
But I'm still alone in my mind
[Chorus: Halsey]
I know you're dying to meet me
But I can just tell you this
Baby, as soon as you meet me
You'll wish that you never did
(You'll wish that you never did)
[Verse 3: Stefflon Don]
Stay up ina me all night ana rock
U know seh mi have di wickedest tock
Yuh all ways tell me seh mi full ah attitude
An yuh nuh like mi friend cah she rude
Still I, pu-pull up in the Benz wid tha all gold ting
Window down cah u haffi see me with ma king
What ya' sipping, boy I'm dipping, now ya' tripping off a fling
I be clipping off ya wings, tadah
[Pre-Chorus: Halsey]
See, everywhere I go
I got a million different people tryna hit it
But I'm still alone in my mind
[Chorus: Halsey]
I know you're dying to meet me
But I can just tell you this
Baby, as soon as you meet me
You'll wish that you never did
(You'll wish that you never did)
Yeah, yeah
[Outro: Halsey]
(I know you wanna, I, I know you wanna)
You'll wish that you never did, oh
(I, I know you wanna slip under my armor)
(I know you wanna, I, I know you wanna)

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
How can Midas put his hands on me again?
He said "one day I'd realize why I don't have any friends"
I find myself alone at night
Unless I'm havin' sex
But he can make me golden if I just showed some respect
But I don't let him touch me anymore
I said "I'm not something to butter up
And taste when you get bored
'Cause I have spent too many nights on dirty bathroom floors
To find some peace and quiet right behind a wooden door"
He said "please don't go away"
He said "please don't go away"
I said "it's too late"
I said "it's too late"
He said "please don't go away"
He said "please don't go away"
I said "it's too late"
I said "it's too late"
And now I can't stop thinking that I can't stop thinking
That I almost gave you everything
And now the whole thing's finished and I can't stop wishing
That I never gave you anything
You wrote 100 letters just for me
And I find them in my closet in the pockets of my jeans
Now I'm constantly reminded of the time I was 19
Every single one's forgotten in a laundromat machine
But I don't let him touch me anymore
I said "I'm not something to butter up
And taste when you get bored
'Cause I have spent too many nights on dirty bathroom floors
To find some peace and quiet right behind a wooden door"
He said "please don't go away"

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
“Eyes Closed” is about being in a new relationship but still having feelings for your ex.
The Weeknd contributed to the song’s melody, as Halsey clarified in a direct message to a fan. “Eyes Closed” debuted on Beats 1 radio on May 4, 2017 and is Halsey’s second single from hopeless fountain kingdom.
I, I know where to lay
I know what to say
It's all the same
And I, I know how to play
I know this game
It's all the same
Now if I keep my eyes closed he looks just like you
But he'll never stay, they never do
Now if I keep my eyes closed he feels just like you
But you've been replaced
I'm face to face with someone new
Would've gave it all for you, cared for you
So tell me where I went wrong
Would've gave it all for you, cared for you
(My lover, my liar)
Would've traded all for you, there for you
So tell me how to move on
Would've traded all for you, cared for you
(My lover, my liar)
Now if I keep my eyes closed he looks just like you
But he'll never stay, they never do
Now if I keep my eyes closed he feels just like you
But you've been replaced
I'm face to face with someone new
He don't realize that I'm thinking about you
It's nothing new, it's nothing new
Now if I keep my eyes closed he looks just like you
But he'll never stay, they never do
Now if I keep my eyes closed he feels just like you
But you've been replaced
I'm face to face with someone new
On May 19th, Halsey returned to her roots of Room 93 by releasing a stripped version of her track “Eyes Closed” and promoted the song on her Twitter shortly after.

The track was written by Halsey and The Weeknd and the song's producers Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat and Happy Perez. It has been described as dark and sinister-sounding synth-y electro. The song is written in C-sharp minor with a tempo of 65 beats per minute.

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
“Lie” talks about the sexual tension between the two lovers. Halsey talks about the dissatisfaction she gets at the end of the night which also hints at the messed up personalities of the two lovers. The song has subtle references to the track, “100 Letters.”
The track is the first collaboration between Halsey and Migos member Quavo.
Lie was the hardest song for Halsey to write due to Lido (ex-novio) helping produce the song, and stating “If you don’t love me no more, then why lie”. This was stated in an Ask Me Anything on her Twitter:
In June 2017 tweet, Halsey named “Lie” among her top 10 songs lyrically.
[Halsey:]
Breakfast is cold, as cold as our bed
I'm watching you choke down the words that you said
I watch you devour, mistake me for bread
Well boy, is you fed? Or are you misled?
I gave you the messiest head
You give me the messiest head
Oh, you're turnin' red
'Cause I'm tryna' give the impression that I get the message you wish I was dead
See you 'bouta break a sweat
I, I, I
I won't let us finish yet
I, I, I
Please don't take this as a threat
I, I, I
All I'm sayin' is if you don't love me no more then lie, lie
Lie, Lie
[Quavo:]
(Quavo)
I heard what you said (what she said?)
You talk about your head game (oh)
I know that it's fire flame (fire)
Your mouth make a hurricane (splash)
You notice that we in love (love)
There's something we cannot change (no)
It's the plans we should arrange (plans)
Treat her right and she won't complain (yeah)
Bring back the title (bring it back)
She tall like the Eiffel (yeah)
Got no one to lie to (no)
There's no need to lie no more (eh)
Bring me a trial (bring)
Every move's vital
What you gon' die for
When every day you told lies, alright
[Halsey:]
Lie, lie
Lie, lie
Lie, lie
Lie, lie.

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
“Good Mourning” is a short interlude at the halfway point of Halsey’s sophomore album, hopeless fountain kingdom. It suggests a change within the narrative of the album, referencing to the sun coming up on the horizon bringing some new feelings.
The singer muses about Luna (Halsey’s character in hopeless fountain kingdom). Halsey hinted that the song is from the perspective of the House of Aureum and their fear over her relationship with Solis Angelus, or ‘White Nite’.
The song is partially spoken which was confirmed by Halsey confirmed via Twitter to be her 12 year old brother, Dante, with the ending being sung with resonating chorus.
They told me once, "there's a place where love conquers all"
A city with the streets full of milk and honey
I haven't found it yet, but I'm still searching
All I know is a hopeless place that flows with the blood of my kin
Perhaps hopeless isn't a place
Nothing but a state of mind
They told me once, "don't trust the moon, she's always changing"
The shores bend and break for her
And she begs to be loved
But nothing here is as it seems
Sun is coming up oh, why, oh, why, oh, why...

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
Mientras escuchaba una y otra vez WALLS COULD TALK me preguntaba....
On “Walls Could Talk”, Halsey describes the back and forth arguments she has had with her lover and how long lasting some of them have been. But she also points to the fact they are both very persistent.
Many critics noted that the track’s production contains uncanny similarities to works by American singer, Britney Spears.
What were the influences on the song's style?
Halsey has cited Destiny’s Child and classic Britney Spears as influences on “Walls Could Talk”.
[Verse 1]
Been about three days and I'm comin' back
I'm about four minutes from a heart attack
And I think you make me a maniac
But you don't know, oh
Two years and we in between
But we both been here since we seventeen
Here we go, fist fight in a limousine
But they don't know
[Pre-Chorus]
And we both hope there's something
But we bo-both keep fronting
And it's a closed discussion
And I'm thinking, "Damn, if these walls could talk"
[Chorus]
(Oh-oh-oh) Well, they'd be like
(Oh-oh-oh) "Shit is crazy, right?"
(Oh-oh-oh) "I ain't your baby no more"
[Verse 2]
Been about two weeks since you went away
I'm about halfway through a Cabernet
There I go, I'm wastin' a Saturday, sittin' at ho-home
Told my new roommate not to let you in
But she's so damn good with a bobby pin
Now you gon' play me like a violin, hittin' these notes

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
“Heaven in Hiding” is the 4th track from the deluxe edition of Halsey’s sophomore album hopeless fountain kingdom. It acts as the first person’s perspective of a party, with the second perspective shown in “Alone”.
Narratively the song is about “Luna”/Halsey and the character sung by Lauren Jauregui in “Strangers” at a “crazy house party” at Luna/Halsey’s house. The song talks about how the pair is hiding their love much like Romeo and Juliet, considering the fact that the album is inspired by the famous play.
Sittin' on the counter in your kitchen
Can you hear my heartbeat fucking kickin'?
Your eyes light up 'cause you best believe that I got something up my sleeve
I walk my talk, no time for wishful thinking
I push up on my toes, you call me "sweet thing"
And breathing down your neck, your body screaming
And you thought that you were the boss tonight, but I can put up one good fight
I flip the script like I can take a beating
And when you start to feel the rush
A crimson headache, aching blush
And you surrender to the touch, you'll know
I can put on a show, I can put on a show
Don't you see what you're finding?
This is heaven in hiding, oh
And when you start to look at me, a physical fatality
And you surrender to the heat, you'll know
I can put on a show, I can put on a show
Don't you see what you're finding?
This is heaven in hiding
This is heaven in hiding, oh
Sitting on the concrete in your basement
But I don't have no time for conversation
Said, "this ain't what you usually do, and a girl like me is new for you"
And I can tell you mean it 'cause you're shaking
And when you start to feel the rush
A crimson headache, aching blush
And you surrender to the touch, you'll know
I can put on a show, I can put on a show
Don't you see what you're finding?
This is heaven in hiding, oh
And when you start to look at me, a physical fatality
And you surrender to the heat, you'll know

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
“Devil In Me” is dark themed track talking about the demons that live deep inside everyone and the internal turmoil everyone faces in their life. The song marks the first collaboration between Australian singer-songwriter, Sia and Halsey. Halsey said via Twitter that Sia was able to bring a wailing sound to the song which she loved.
The song seems to hint at Halsey’s previous works including, “Hold Me Down” and “Control” from her debut album, Badlands where she also talks about her demons linking to having bipolar disorder.
Halsey published a poem by the same name in her poetry collection, “I Would Leave Me If I Could.”
You said I
Would've hit the ceiling
You said I
You said I
Should eat my feelings
Head held high
I won't take anyone down if I cry tonight
But I still let everyone down when I change in size
And I went tumbling down trying to reach your high
But I scream too loud if I speak my mind
I don't wanna wake it up
I don't wanna wake it up
I don't wanna wake it up
The devil in me
I don't wanna wake it up
I don't wanna wake it up
I don't wanna wake it up
The devil in me
Gotta wake up, gotta wake up
Gotta wake up, gotta wake up
Gotta wake up, come back to life
Gotta wake up, gotta wake up
Gotta wake up, gotta wake up
Gotta wake up, come back to life
You said I'm
Too much to handle
You said I
Shine too bright
I burnt the candle
Flew too high
I won't take anyone down if I cry tonight
But I still let everyone down when I change in size
And I went tumbling down trying to reach your high
But I scream too loud when I speak my mind
I don't wanna wake it up

Gotta wake up, gotta wake up
Gotta wake up, gotta wake up

“Angel On Fire” is a cinematic song where Halsey reminisces of the good times when she was the center of all attention. But she juxtaposes it by saying she has severe anxiety as well. The track seems to be the aftermath of the fifth track, “Alone” where Halsey says she has so many people that want to party with her and on this track everybody has forgotten about her.
I woke up to another mess in the living room
Broken bottles all around my feet
They came again in the night under crescent moon
Didn't wake me in my sleep
'Cause they talk and drink and laugh 'bout things
And fall in love in my backyard
I hide and cower in the corner
Conversation's getting hard
'Cause nobody seems to ask about me anymore
And nobody seems to care 'bout anything I think
And nobody seems to recognize me in the crowd
In the background screamin', "everybody, look at me"
And I'm faded away, you know, I used to be on fire
And I'm faded away, you know, I used to be on fire
I'm standin' in the ashes of who I used to be
And I'm faded away, you know, I used to be on fire
You know, I used to be on fire
You know, I used to be on fire, fire
I used to be a darling starlet like a centerpiece
Had the whole world wrapped around my ring
I flew too closely to the sun that's setting in the East
And now I'm melting from my wings
'Cause I'd talk and drink and laugh 'bout things
And fall in love in my backyard
Now it's my own anxiety that makes the conversation hard
'Cause nobody seems to ask about me anymore
And nobody ever cares 'bout anything I think
And nobody seems to recognize me in the crowd
In the background screamin', "everybody, look at me"
And I'm faded away, you know, I used to be on fire

Alone out in Saint-Tropez
Lookin' as fine as a damn Monet
Tryna hydrate on Perrier
Everybody thirsty, drinks on me
When I'm out, clothes on lay away
Tryna take back what you say to me
I don't give a damn what you say to me
There ain't no time for games with me
I'm moving on, I'm getting paid
I'm on my own, I had some space to deal with it
I'm moving on, it's getting late
Go and grab someone and find a place to deal with it
Yeah, don't even try
Can't fuck up my vibe
Double cuppin' in the ride
Motherfucker, don't play with me
Motherfucker, don't play with me
Motherfucker, don't play with me
Motherfucker, don't play with me
Runnin' lines like a marathon
Got it all white like Parmesan
I am not the type to be out past dawn
Tomorrow got a flight headed to Taiwan
Now you know where the bottle gone
Drippin' so wet with the Pérignon
I am not the type to admit I'm on
How could I lie when we sip so strong?
I'm moving on, I'm getting paid
I'm on my own, I had some space to deal with it
I'm moving on, it's getting late

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
This song serves as our closing statement from this album that tells a story. Halsey writes about how she hopes hopeless is just a state of mind, not a period in her life, and she can quickly overcome it as she finishes her journey in finding herself after the toxic relationship she was in. “Hopeless” features Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat.
Boy, you make it look so easy
Promise that I'm gonna call you back in five
Sorry baby girl, but I can't tonight, oh
Boy, you make it look so simple, mm
Yeah, I've known that girl for like my whole life
Back in my hotel and I'm alone inside, oh
'Cause you know the truth hurts
But secrets kill
Can't help thinkin' that I love it still
Still here, there must be something real
'Cause you know the good die young
But so did this
And so it must be better than I think it is
Gimme those eyes, it's easy to forgive
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-ooh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-ooh
You and all your friends all hate me, oh
Thinkin' that you're better when I'm not around
Hear me on the radio and turn it down, oh
I can't help the way you made me
Hope that she believin' in the truth you found
Thinkin' that you want us 'cause I can't find out, oh
'Cause you know the truth hurts
But secrets kill
Can't help thinkin' that I love it still
Still here, there must be something real
'Cause you know the good die young
But so did this
And so it must be better than I think it is
Gimme those eyes, it's easy to forgive
I hope, hopeless
(Oh-ooh) Changes over time
(Oh-ooh) I hope hopeless
(Oh-ooh) Changes over time

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hopeless_Fountain_Kingdom_World_Tour
Bergenfest
Glastonbury
Hurricane fest
Southside fest

Re: Descubriendo a HALSEY VIII The Great Impersonator

https://elpais.com/cultura/2018/09/18/actualidad/1537257783_444555.html
