Realmente no están separados,lo que pasa que Amott está centrado en Arch Enemy pero ya podía olvidarse de eso y volver a centrarse en Spiritual Beggars.

La verdad es que estara sacando bastante pasta con Arch Enemy y la gira de reunion de Carcass y probablemente esto no este entre sus prioridades , Amott se ha convertido en uno de los guitarristas mas populares entre los seguidores del metal mas actual y para alguien que empezo con Carnage y que no creo que imaginara nunca llegar a ese status no creo que sea facil renunciar y volver a grabar con los Beggars
Seguramente seria mas digno volver a juntarse con J.B o con Spice que el infame disco que han sacado regrabando los primeros discos de Arch Enemy , mas que nada xq esos discos no son mejorables, puede
que pueda mejorarse la produccion ,pero el sonido actual de Arch Enemy y Angelan traicionan totalmente el espiritu oscuro de esos discos .
Tristemente los tiempos de Ad Astra y another Way to Shine no volveran nunca , todo lo mas la nueva version con J.B que son muy disfrutables pero que para mi gusto mo llega ni de lojos a la magia de los primeros trabajos.
De todos modos me parece claro donde estaba la magia y la clave de los primeros trabajos de los Beggars
Spice es un buen ejemplo de que intentando poner los mismos ingredientes y recuperar un sonido no se consigue ni de lejos el mismo resultado , he intentado escuchar muchas veces Mushroom River Band para quitar el mono de los Beggars y no ha funcionado ni de lejos , las canciones me parecen tan planas y las guitarras tan simples al lado de los riffs y solos de Amott que no puedo disfrutar eso

¿Sobrevalorados he leido? Joder....ni de coña, para mi SB son una banda tan grande como lo puedan ser Down, Kyuss, Monster Magnet o COC. La época de Spice me parece simplemente perfecta, no cambiaria nada ya que me gustan todos los discos, eps y canciones. Hablamos de un grupo que de ser americano y haber pillado la época de redescubrimiento del hard rock/stoner lo habria petado....yo esto lo tengo claro. Lástima que la marcha de Spice les hiciera tener un bajón.
¿Y has probado con el primer disco de Spice and the RJ Band? Porque a mi The Will casi que me gusta tanto como cualquiera de SB, son todo temazos. Shave Your Fear sin embargo no me dijo tanto, demasiado lineal aunque tiene un buen puñado de grandes canciones también.
¿Y Kayser? Thrash y tal pero conservando algo de ese sonido de SB en las partes melódicas...a mi sus dos discos me parecen tremendisimos.
Spice es un crack y casi un genio por trayectoria (según mis gustos). Mushroom River Band sin embargo me parece lo mas flojo que ha hecho.

Si, para mi los dos son buenos discos pero no es lo mismo e incluso los pondria a la cola de los proyectos de Spice. Igual pienso de SB sin él, On fire me parece un gran album pero no es comparable a la etapa anterior...no para mi.
De todas formas, insisto en que The Will es un discazo que creo que pasó algo desapercibido para lo que contiene.

No se si llegaron a tocar,pero recuerdo que tuvieron una gira con Maiden y Entombed,y uno de los bolos iba a pasar por Mijas(Málaga),pero lo suspendieron.No recuerdo si fue toda la gira,pero ese bolo no se hizo,y me maldije bastante.Yo sólo iba por ellos.
Después de esa gira SPIRITUAL hicieron, por lo menos en Barcelona, una actuación en la desaparecida sala GARATGE CLUB. El 7 de noviembre del 2000 (he mirado la entrada). Tremebunda!!! También soy de los que creen que AD ASTRA es su mejor disco. No controlo a COWBOYS & ALIENS...Algún disco recomendable??

Cierto, The Will es un discazo. Tienes razon que SB perdieron algo con la marcha de Spice... On Fire y Demons son muy buenos discos pero les falta algo.

Traiganoslos Señor Azkena. Necesita cubrir un hueco con sonidos mas duros/densos. Este sería un grupo mas que solvente, nada visto por estas latitudes y dudo que se salieran de presupuesto. Mr. Amott tiene libres las fechas del festival

Amott also designed and painted the cover of the solo album himself. "I started doing it seriously in recent years," he said about his foray into a finer art. He doesn't take classes but admits that he does practice the art of painting when he can. "I did draw as a kid, but the I started playing guitar and that took over," he admits, which is something we hear often from professional musicians, how once they switched from a sport to an instrument, the instrument became the priority.
Amott continued, "I am going to keep painting and drawing. It will be big part of my life, after Arch Enemy." It's always smart to have something to fall back on -- and lucky for Amott, he has a creative outlet to fuel him.

En el Metal Hammer de este mes pone que Grand Magus han fichado por Roadrunner y que van a pubicar nuevo disco este año , por lo que supongo que habrá bastante promoción y gira ..por lo menos a un nivel Roadrunner o sea que igual los ponen a telonear a Kiss o a Nockelback

En el Metal Hammer de este mes pone que Grand Magus han fichado por Roadrunner y que van a pubicar nuevo disco este año , por lo que supongo que habrá bastante promoción y gira ..por lo menos a un nivel Roadrunner o sea que igual los ponen a telonear a Kiss o a Nockelback

Yes, it's been a long time coming - but we have finally got ourselves back into the studio to record the follow up to our last studio album 'DEMONS' (2005). What's 5 years between friends?
It's been a busy few weeks here in the Beggars camp... We started with a week of pre-production rehearsals with the whole band and got all the songs nice and tight, ready and rockin'!
We then relocated to SWEETSPOT STUDIO and started tracking drums with our producer, Rickard Bengtsson. Ludwig (Witt, Drums) nailed it in 4 days and we swiftly moved on to rhythm Guitars and Bass tracks and finished off with a Lead guitar session!
Needless to say, we used a lot of vintage equipment in this process and we got some really amazing tones. The studio itself has really excellent acoustics and that shows in the fantastic drum sound we captured… BIG, BOLD AND NATURAL!
To describe the music itself, we feel the songs are strong and melodic with a lot of 70’s and early 80’s hard rock atmosphere…
If you are a fan of our albums ‘ON FIRE’ and ‘DEMONS’ we are pretty sure you will also enjoy this next chapter…
We'll pick up the work on the record again in April for vocals and keyboards... We'll be adding more updates and pictures, over the next coming weeks...

Si, me acuerdo hace años, cuando Arch Enemy aún no tenían el tirón entre la chavalería, tardara un año en salir el Wages of Sin, después de haber sido publicado en Japón
