The Who? te digo lo mismo que con los stones.
Fleetwood Mac? pues dado a que el nombre venia a cuento de los apellidos del bateria y el bajista es lógico que se quedaran con el nombre, no se porque los pones como ejemplo, no sirven. Aparte de que lo que hicieron despues en comparcion con lo anterior es una vergüenza (repito, en comparacion).
King Crimson? entero solo me gusta el primer disco.

Gong, Fairport Convention y Genesis no conozco todas sus formaciones y tampoco he escuchdo mas de 3 discos asi que no puedo decir nada.

Allman, AC/DC y Deep Purple son los unicos en los que estoy de acuerdo, por otro lado son justo los tres tipicos que siempre se utilizan en este tipo de situaciones.

P.D.: Yo pongo un ejemplo mas actual Spiritual Beggars, pero aqui el asunto no es tan sangrante puesto que spice esta vivo. Aun asi para ser coherente te digo que a mi como seguidor de esta banda es algo que siempre me ha jodido (lo que no me impide disfrutar de los otros 2 discos, aunque el bajon en la banda es brutal y su nuevo cantante solo gusta a los seguidores jevis de la banda)

we are a diverse community with diverse opinions about this reunion and particularly on the inclusion of Travis in the band.

But... among the few that I find myself, we are very impresed for the new album and the enormous talent of Travis and we pray every day they will be announced at our festival.

Hi Barbara,

we are wishing that the band will be playing some dates in Spain.

The people on this foro who are not interested in the record are either blinds or melons (which is an spanish expression for people with very straight and difficult to change ideas).

As you can see in other discussion themes on this board we are also fans of other kinds of melons. With those melons there is not that kind of division that you can see with the new CD. Except for Zemanova's fake or not, maybe...

hahaha, it looks like the word "melon" has too much of a specific meaning to you here. It can have the same meaning in enlgish but the Blind Melon comunity is so used to this word that (for most of the time Wink

) it doesn't get missunderstood.

Welcome to our forum, Even I have not been capable to hear the new record, Shanoon means a lot for me and it´s difficult to enjoy new music under the name of Blind Melon but i suppose one day i´ll do.

I don't want to go into this debate because we had it OVER and OVER again at the Blind Melon forum but all I will say is - don't keep yourself from listening to music because of the name. THE POINT is in MUSIC, right? Shannon means a lot to all of us melonheads, Travis can't replace him and he's not trying to, he says that himself at every show! Travis is a HUGE Shannon fan (he has a Shannon tattoo all over his back) and Blind Melon fan. They are his idols since he was a kid. He's an awesome guy. Anyway, if you're interested in some of the stuff that the band said about their decision of keeping the name, let me know and I might dig a little and find it...they talked about it several times and discussed a lot about it and how they feel, before making the decision.
Ok, I said I wasn't going to talk about it and now I did...

and just another thing - if you're sceptical, my best advice is to at least give them a chance and go see a SHOW. Then judge for yourself.

Hi Barbara,

we are wishing that the band will be playing some dates in Spain.

The people on this foro who are not interested in the record are either blinds or melons (which is an spanish expression for people with very straight and difficult to change ideas).

As you can see in other discussion themes on this board we are also fans of other kinds of melons. With those melons there is not that kind of division that you can see with the new CD. Except for Zemanova's fake or not, maybe...

I haven't checked other parts of the board, it takes me too long to translate... I found this forum because I was looking for more info about Blind Melon playing in Spain and Europe in general.

I`m very surprised for your contact with us.

we are a diverse community with diverse opinions about this reunion and particularly on the inclusion of Travis in the band.

But... among the few that I find myself, we are very impresed for the new album and the enormous talent of Travis and we pray every day they will be announced at our festival.

if you know anything about that possibility as an administrator of your forum we would be enormously grateful for the information.

Anyway, that's all the info I have...I hope you all undertsand english good enough.

I don't want to put all your hopes up and then it won't happen cause like I said, I can't say 100% sure. BUT, all the signs lead there and MY hopes are already TOTALY up, hehe... besides, even if they don't play at Azkena, they'll come to Europe for sure Smile
